Pian della Bandina is located on the border of Umbria and Tuscany, in the middle of Italy, also known as the green heart of Italy. The nearby town of Città della Pieve is known for its Saffron, its many churches and especially for the painter Pietro Vannucci. You will also find here the authentic Italy and of course also shops, supermarkets, coffee bars, ice cream parlors, restaurants, banks and a hospital.
Pian della Bandina is a great base for day trips to Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Civita di Bagnoregio, Castiglione del Lago, Spoleto, Todi, Terni, Cascate di Marmore, Sienna, Montepulciano, Florence and Rome.
Florence and Rome are also very easy to reach by train from the nearby train station of Chiusi.
In the immediate vicinity you can also go hiking in the woods, horse riding or mountain biking. There is a golf course within half an hour’s drive and for water sports enthusiasts there is plenty to do on Lago di Trasimeno and Lago di Bolsena. Here you can rent boats, surf, swim or enjoy one of the numerous terraces.
